The Parish Council were deeply saddened by the sudden death of ex-Councillor Peter French during the past week.

Peter was a tremendous supporter of the Parish Council and servant to the Community over many years, including a term as Chair.

He had a wealth of knowledge about the village and wider parish of Rearsby and cared passionately about every aspect of the village from the playing fields to the defibrillator.

Peter’s commitment to our community was second to none and his calm but orderly approach to everything he did will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Our thoughts are with Peters family at this time.
